Artist Statment

I am interested in landscape images that are difficult to describe.  Wild gardens, meadows, marshes all appeal to me as subject matter.  These lush landscapes reveal themselves slowly as one walks through them.  Attentions shift, details come and go, patterns emerge and fall away. The paintings are attempts at capturing this unfolding experience.
