Petey Brown
Artist Statment
Observing human behavior in its variety, humor, and intensity, informs my work. In my current paintings I am interested in movement in dance and exercise as subject matter. This for now is my point of departure to celebrate the sensuality of paint and the joy of color.
Artist Biography
Petey Brown resides in Brooklyn. She was educated at Wheaton College in Norton Massachusetts and received a BFA at Boston University School of Fine and Applied Arts. She has had one person shows in Boston, New York, and Provincetown and has show in group shows throughout the country.
