Galen Cheney

Galen Cheney received her MFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and her BA from Mount Holyoke College.  She has received several awards including the Artist Resource Trust Award from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation, two full fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center, and inclusion in the competitive publication, New American Paintings.  Her work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and in Montreal, most recently at Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, NH, and the Fleming Museum at the University of Vermont.  This spring she will be having a solo show at Burlington City Arts in Burlington, VT.  She is represented by West Branch Gallery in Stowe, VT, Art and Interiors of Westport, CT, Elizabeth Sadoff Art Advisory, NYC, and Soho Myriad in Atlanta.
