Farida works with mixed media, oil, and resin paint on panel. She earned an MFA from The University of Chicago and BA from Fordham University, and in 2013 received a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. She has exhibited nationally in solo, group, and juried shows for over 20 years.
Through abstraction, my work explores collective energy, individuality, and the behavior of groups. I capitalize on the transparency of resin and oil paint allowing elements of painting, collage, and drawing to remain distinctive contributors to a composition and work toward an overall feeling of harmony and balance.
