Iris Kufert-Rivo, a geometric painter of 30 plus years, works out of her studio at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City. She studied art at Skidmore College and earned an MFA from Bard College. Her work is represented by George Billis Gallery-LA and Hidell Brooks Gallery in Charlotte, NC.
“The Structure Series paintings are created without the use of a brush. Palette knives, tape, and straight edges are used instead. The paintings serve as a metaphor for the conflicting times in which we live. Social, political, personal, and economic upheaval is always experienced, processed and then restructured.”
