In Connie Brown’s work, a plethora of color greets you, as bulbous, whimsical, sensuous, and often cartoon-like shapes play off one another, creating a playground of visual adventures. Her long history as a three-dimensional artist has influenced her preference for amorphic, organic, and monumental shapes. Transforming her ideas of the sculpted figure into painting, you’ll find that color has become her driving force.

Connie Brown received her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Arizona. She has exhibited her paintings in Connecticut and New York. Brown is an artist member of The Painting Center in New York in addition to being an artist member at the Silvermine Guild in New Canaan, CT. Brown lives and works in her Connecticut studio.
