“I've been a painter since my late teens and over many decades explored realism and abstraction with color being the aspect of painting that most held my interest. I gained knowledge about art where I found it: The University of Colorado, The Art Students League, The Torpedo Factory (Alexandria Va).
My paintings ponder the daily, monthly and seasonal rhythms of water, wind, and weather over long periods of time; with an emphasis on color, how it moves through the atmosphere and how it is experienced and affects the emotions.”
