My paintings are about light. Translucency, reflections, luminosity, all the ways light can transform our perceptions. My paintings of candy are more about the light on cellophane and foil wrappers than the candy itself. Other paintings are about light revealing the qualities of objects and people.
“I have been painting full time for about 17 years. My wife, Kathleen Migliore-Newton, is also a painter. Together we share a brownstone in Fort Greene with my daughter, son in law and granddaughter. I've had a number of one person shows and my paintings are in numerous private collections.”
