Edward Holland
Edward Holland received a B.F.A. from Syracuse University and a M.A. from New York University. His work has been shown in galleries and institutions nationwide and has been discussed in Artnet News, Tussle Magazine, and The Huffington Post, among others. The artist lives and works in New York City.
I have always been interested in mythology and wanted to build a body of work around that without being illustrative. The work needed to be open to interpretation and abstract. A Zodiac sign is exactly that: an abstract shape signifying a narrative. It is form and content, like Painting itself.
