Ernest Jolicoeur
Ernest Jolicoeur is a graduate of Rhode Island College (BFA) and Yale School of Art (MFA). He lived and worked in New York before moving to Rhode Island. Exhibitions include Feature Inc., the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, and Greater New York at MoMA PS1.
The place of memory and the memory of place are the focus of the Erased Landscape series. In these acrylic works, abstraction serves as a site of recall and renovation. Each work in this series reimagines a space enlivened by memory and the image making process.
