I am a painter working in abstraction to explore the relationship between touch and emotion, collapse and recovery. In the Shadowbloom series, shadow shapes obscure or frame vibrant organic shapes and colors, exerting a pressure on the picture plane. Shadow and color interplay as two powerful and opposing forces.
