Lynn Basa (born 1954, Pittsburgh, PA) is a full-time artist living in Chicago. Her practice consists of painting, ceramic sculpture, and public art.

Geologic and biologic formations inform my work. I abstract traces of erosion, fossils, and growth, creating forms that suggest both the permanence of stone and the ephemerality of organic life.
