BLINN JACOBS
Blinn Jacobs studied at the Yale School of Art for four years and received her MFA in painting from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. Blinn has been in numerous one-person shows and many group shows in addition to creating multiple site specific drawing installations.
The hexagon, or parts of it, is the foundation of her work. The incised surfaces unite individual shapes with the totality of the planes reflecting an interaction of color and transparency. The skylight in her studio at the VCCA was an incentive to naming the series.
