Judith Ostrowitz
Judith Ostrowitz is a New York City artist educated at Pratt Institute, The New School, The School of Visual Arts, and Columbia University in Fine Arts and Art History. She has exhibited most recently with Lola Shepard Curatorial Projects + Gallery, Denise Bibro Fine Art, and The Open Center Gallery.
These images suggest the mind's eye, unmoored by requirements of wall, floor, or canvas. Constructed from paintings, drawings, and photographic media, they "shape-shift," informed by long-standing study of Alchemy, Qabalah and other Western Mystery Traditions. Here, reality is mutable, according to perception and imagination, dissolving and reconfiguring the known world.
