APRIL HAMMOCK
April has exhibited artworks internationally, nationally, and through her home state of Louisiana. She is an Instructor for the Gifted and Talented Program in Baton Rouge, LA. Recent exhibitions include: Electron Salon, LACDA, Los Angeles, CA; Summer Guild Exhibition, Silvermine Galleries, New Canaan, CT, and Capricious Games, Baton Rouge Gallery, LA.
Recently, my work has centered on the idea of matter being ensnared in the unstoppable march of time. The cycles of life and death are represented through the use of repeated patterns and rhythmic repetitions of forms in environments, like floating vortexes and bodies of elements in space.
