Ann Vollum

Ann Vollum a fiber and mixed media artist born in Africa, now living in New Jersey has won awards and exhibited widely both internationally and in the USA. Ann received a New Jersey Artist Fellowship and has essays on her work published by TXtile Zine and Point Pleasant Publications.

Often playful, my sculptures and installations range from abstract organic depictions reminiscent of the cerebral nervous system to sea creatures and entangled organic growths. Brightly colored or in natural earthy tones, these works are a rebellious expression against suppression as they ooze their internal 'guts'!
