Kathleen Migliore-Newton
Kathleen Migliore-Newton is the first in her family to graduate from college. She has a BFA from Pratt Institute in painting and printmaking. She has exhibited in many shows in New York and Los Angeles. I have 6 art works in the Capital 1 Lounge at JFK airport. She has exhibited through Art in the Embassies.
I am interested in the human face and body, trying to capture my connection, the movement, expressions in the public space or intimate settings. I look for cultural signals in clothing, etc. I often work from photographs, but use the photo as a source of inspiration. The quality of the paint and drawing are elements that provide an opportunity for expression.
