Jason Hoelscher

Jason Hoelscher is a painter, author, and interdisciplinary artist based in the United States. His studio practice engages color space, structural dynamism, and visual rhythm through abstract painting. He holds an MFA from Pratt Institute, and his work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and museums.

My paintings explore how attention functions in an information-drenched, media-saturated society. Operating where accelerating visual intake meets diminishing attention spans, the works combine the intended immediacy of late-modernist abstraction with the tabbed quick-read space of contemporary iconography, rewarding both rapid glances and sustained looking through layered structure and spatial tension.
