I have been making art my entire life, painting for the past 25 years. My MFA is from Claremont Graduate University, I taught art at Scripps College and have exhibited, in solos and within groups, in the United States (including The Unusuals at The Painting Center six years ago) and In Europe.
The horizontal of the earth the sea and their shared atmosphere, the horizontal of death, of abstraction, of time - these shared horizontals dance, flirt, mingle, merge, separate in my studio practice. Oil paint is my tool of reflective thought, the viscous substance that allows me to think in paint and to paint in reflection.
