Christopher T. Terry studied Painting at Rhode Island College and the U. Wisconsin. Early exhibitions were at Hackett/Freedman, San Francisco. He currently shows with Hidell/Brooks & Viridian. He taught at Cal State, Universität Essen, and Utah State. Grants include two Fulbrights, DAAD, WESTAF, the state of Utah, et. al.

My paintings explore the tension between the quotidian and the mystical. I interpret the still life as a secular altar where an ambiguous ritual takes place. The images that result from this exploration are both meditative and taut with expectation, supported by a rhythm that recalls memory and dreams.
