Marie-Chloé Duval is a Quebec-born artist whose criminology background shapes her exploration of human behavior and social structures. Since shifting to painting in 2016, she has exhibited internationally, completed multiple residencies, and built community-focused art initiatives. She holds a BFA from Concordia University and an MFA from the New York Studio School.

My work explores the hidden social structures that shape how we move, relate, and belong. Rooted in my criminology background, I examine the invisible systems—boundaries, codes, and tensions—that connect and divide us. Through layered, shifting spaces, I reveal the instability beneath contemporary life and invite viewers to reconsider their place within it.
