CYNTHIA Y COOPER
Ms Cooper's work is in the permanent collection of New Britain Museum of American Art. She exhibits widely and was awarded Best in Show @104th Annual Bendheim Gallery Exhibition 2021 by Allison Rudnick of The Met. She lives / works in Connecticut with another human, two cockatoos and two plump cats.
”My use of mathematics in arranging patterns and colors in repetitive cycles results in works of geometric abstraction that are controlled yet unmistakably drawn by a human hand. The light-drenched, joyful curves burst outward with exuberant color resulting in paintings that are optimistic and transcendent.”
