Jason Rafferty (B. Danbury, CT, 1991), Lives/works in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Art Professor at University of Tulsa. MFA University of Georgia, BFA UNC Asheville. Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant recipient, AXA Art Prize finalist. Residency at Pouch Cove Foundation. Exhibitions include Swan Coach House Gallery (Atlanta), CICA Museum (S. Korea), Manifest Gallery, Artfields.

The Nature Catalyst series explores experimental narratives about the evolution of energy technologies through the media of painting, drawing, and collage. Abstract landscape spaces evoke the cycle of carbon between atmosphere, land, and sea as a fragmentary process of becoming.
