Elizabeth Riley
Elizabeth Riley's art addresses questions concerning the complex and changing world we inhabit and our "mixed reality," living between physical and digital/virtual contexts. The works include 2- and 3-dimensional wall works and installations, made from video stills. She holds a BA from Barnard College, and an MFA from Hunter College.
Using digital technology, my work brings forth or "remembers" new forms that may be beyond an identification of self as a socialized entity or construct. The work references human, animal, insect, landscape and formless forms. It includes a personal history of investigation, while exploring futuristic meanings.
