Catherine Callahan studied painting at the State University of New York at New Paltz and Landscape Architecture at Cornell University. Her work has been shown in galleries and non-profit venues and she is the founder of the bi-annual Byrdcliffe Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition held on the grounds of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in Woodstock, New York. She works in Portland, Maine.

Catherine Callahan is visual artist whose work explores the relationships of place, culture, geography and lived experience through painting, drawing and collage.
