Gillian Wainwright (b. 1967 Bromley, England) is a Jersey City based landscape painter. Wainwright earned her BFA at the California College of Arts and Crafts and her MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Wainwright has exhibited her work in the New York area as well as nationally and is represented by Lancaster Galleries in Pennsylvania.
“The spark for me has always been looking. My paintings are about my physical response to my perceptions, reveling simultaneously in the joy of looking and the joy of the paint.”
