Carrie Lederer exhibits her nature-inspired work across the United States. Lederer is a recipient of the Fleishhacker Foundation Eureka Award, and she has completed public art commissions for Facebook, City of San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and UCSF Medical Center. My work explores ideas of land and the natural world, rooted in a personal curiosity about nature and our connection to it. The imagery is both ordered and unruly, realistic and abstract. Dense, tapestry-like compositions intertwine land and sky, inviting viewers to be transported through layered, imagined landscapes.
