Canfield's work has been exhibited extensively including recent exhibitions at the Montclair Art Museum, The Painting Center, and the New Jersey Arts Annual at the NJ State Museum in Trenton. She is a recipient of a 2022 Fellowship in Painting from the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
“My work blurs boundaries between painting, photography and sculpture. Analog and digital painting techniques synthesize qualities of realism and abstraction. Transparent images merge to create an illusion of deep space. Organic shapes juxtaposed with electronic objects are a means to investigate the intrusion of technology into the natural world.”
